DESCRIPTION:Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu\, Director of the Sustainable Dev
 elopment Practice and Research Center (SURKAM) at Istanbul Medipol Universi
 ty\, participated in the United Nations “Expert Meeting on Trade\, Invest
 ment\, Climate\, and Sustainable Development”!\nAs countries update their
  Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to meet the goals of the Paris 
 Agreement\, aligning trade and investment policies with climate objectives 
 has become increasingly important.\nThe meeting addressed strategies to acc
 elerate this process\, trade opportunities that support sustainable develop
 ment\, and just transition policies.\nWithin the framework of UNCTAD’s CO
 P29 initiative — the Baku Initiative on Climate Finance\, Investment and 
 Trade Dialogue (BICFIT) — roadmaps are being developed to support innovat
 ion and renewable energy investments for developing countries.\nProf. Dr. R
 ana Atabay Kuşçu expressed her great pleasure in being part of these sign
 ificant initiatives aimed at advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.\n
