SUMMARY:Surkam’s Name and Role Are Being Renewed With The İSTKA-Supporte
 d Twin Transition Project
DESCRIPTION: \nThe “Sustainability and Twin Transition” project\, carr
 ied out by Istanbul Medipol University and supported by İSTKA\, will conti
 nue to support a broad transformation process in the plastics sector\, rang
 ing from sustainable production to digitalization. Comprehensive activities
  addressing sectoral needs will be implemented\, including maturity analyse
 s\, sustainability reporting\, roadmaps\, and employee training programs.\n
 Alongside these efforts\, the institutional structure of our Center will al
 so be strengthened\; our fields of activity\, competencies\, and working mo
 del will be updated through the published regulation. Our Center will be po
 sitioned under the name Sustainable Development and Twin Transition Applica
 tion and Research Center (SURKAM) to create a broader impact in both sustai
 nable development and twin transition domains.\nWith its new structure and 
 expanded mission\, SURKAM will:• Conduct policy\, analytical\, and techni
 cal studies in green and digital transformation\,\n• Strengthen universit
 y–industry–public sector collaboration\,\n• Organize training program
 s\, seminars\, and certification programs\,\n• Develop expertise in carbo
 n management\, circular economy\, energy efficiency\, supply chain sustaina
 bility\, and ESG\,\n• Design national and international projects and appl
 y to funding mechanisms\,\n• Provide consultancy to institutions during t
 ransformation processes and establish new working groups.\nOur new name and
  updated duties will enable our Center to assume a stronger\, more effectiv
 e\, and more inclusive role in sectoral transformation.\nWe thank İSTKA\, 
 Istanbul Medipol University\, and our project partners for their support.Tr
 ansition for a sustainable future will begin with SURKAM.
