SUMMARY:Surkam’s Name and Role Are Being Renewed With The İSTKA-Supporte
 d Twin Transformation Project
DESCRIPTION: \nThe “Sustainability and Twin Transformation” project\, 
 carried out by Istanbul Medipol University and supported by İSTKA\, will c
 ontinue to support a broad transformation process in the plastics sector\, 
 ranging from sustainable production to digitalization. Comprehensive activi
 ties addressing sectoral needs will be implemented\, including maturity ana
 lyses\, sustainability reporting\, roadmaps\, and employee training program
 s.\nAlongside these efforts\, the institutional structure of our Center wil
 l also be strengthened\; our fields of activity\, competencies\, and workin
 g model will be updated through the published regulation. Our Center will b
 e positioned under the name Sustainable Development and Twin Transformation
  Application and Research Center (SURKAM) to create a broader impact in bot
 h sustainable development and twin transformation domains.\nWith its new st
 ructure and expanded mission\, SURKAM will:• Conduct policy\, analytical\
 , and technical studies in green and digital transformation\,\n• Strength
 en university–industry–public sector collaboration\,\n• Organize trai
 ning programs\, seminars\, and certification programs\,\n• Develop expert
 ise in carbon management\, circular economy\, energy efficiency\, supply ch
 ain sustainability\, and ESG\,\n• Design national and international proje
 cts and apply to funding mechanisms\,\n• Provide consultancy to instituti
 ons during transformation processes and establish new working groups.\nOur 
 new name and updated duties will enable our Center to assume a stronger\, m
 ore effective\, and more inclusive role in sectoral transformation.\nWe tha
 nk İSTKA\, Istanbul Medipol University\, and our project partners for thei
 r support.Transformation for a sustainable future will begin with SURKAM.
