SUMMARY:METAHack Sustainathon 2025 at İstanbul Medipol University
DESCRIPTION: \nOrganized in collaboration with Istanbul Medipol University
  SURKAM and the Technology Transfer Office (TTO)\, METAHack Sustainathon 20
 25 was successfully completed after an intensive 24-hour period during whic
 h innovative ideas focused on sustainability were developed and the spirit 
 of hackathon was strongly felt.\nDuring this intensive marathon held on 13
 –14 December\, participants developed projects by proposing solutions for
  Akfen Renewable Energy around the themes of sustainability\, circular econ
 omy\, green transformation\, and innovation. This process\, which transform
 ed ideas into projects within a short time\, strongly reflected interdiscip
 linary collaboration and a culture of co-creation.\nThroughout the event\, 
 not only ideas but also the carbon footprint of the event was measured\, en
 suring that the sustainability approach was concretely implemented in pract
 ice.\nAt the end of this productive 24-hour period\, following the jury eva
 luations\, the SUSTAGROW team was awarded first place with their project ti
 tled Sustainable Biohydrogen Production from a Microalgae Photobioreactor I
 ntegrated into Soilless Agriculture. The E0MISSION team achieved second pla
 ce with the Solar Loop project\, while the KYU team received third place wi
 th the Akfen Green Route Projects.\nWe would like to sincerely thank all ou
 r sponsors and supporters who contributed to the realization of this valuab
 le organization\, as well as all mentors\, trainers\, and jury members who 
 shared their knowledge and experience throughout the process.\nThe greatest
  congratulations go to all our participants who courageously thought\, ques
 tioned\, developed\, and produced solutions for a sustainable future throug
 hout the 24 hours.\nA sustainable future is possible by thinking together a
 nd producing together.
