DESCRIPTION:Within the scope of the 2nd Istanbul Medipol University Social 
 Impact Awards Ceremony organized by the Social Impact Commission\, projects
  carried out in partnership with the Sustainable Development and Twin Trans
 formation Application and Research Center (SURKAM) were deemed worthy of aw
 ards.\nWe sincerely congratulate all our academicians and project teams who
  contributed to these valuable projects\, which were developed with a susta
 inability focus\, an interdisciplinary approach\, and a strong commitment t
 o social impact.\nAWARDED PROJECTS\nBiopsychosocial Assessment Training for
  Professionals Working with Children in Women’s Shelters\nThis project is
  a training initiative aimed at enabling professionals working with childre
 n in women’s shelters to accurately assess children’s developmental and
  biopsychosocial needs.\n\n \nProject Coordinator:\nProf. Dr. Rana Atabay 
 Kuşçu (Director of SURKAM)\nUse of Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting Mechan
 isms in Energy Efficiency\nThis is an innovative system design project that
  aims to convert kinetic energy into energy efficiency through piezoelectri
 c and similar technologies.\n\n \nProject Coordinator:Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fat
 ma Serab Onursal (Leader of the SURKAM Circular Economy Working Group)\nMat
 letizmThis project supports cognitive and physical development by integrati
 ng mathematics with physical activity.\n\n \nProject Coordinator:Lect. Tay
 yar Tepe (Deputy Director\, SBMYO)\nAgriculture of the Future: Soilless Far
 ming Practices\nThis project aims to promote sustainable soilless farming m
 ethods and raise social awareness across Istanbul\, particularly in Beykoz.
