SUMMARY:The Sustainability and Twin Transition Center Was Introduced
DESCRIPTION: \nThe Center was implemented under the leadership of the Ista
 nbul Medipol University Sustainable Development and Twin Transition Applica
 tion and Research Center (SURKAM)\, in partnership with the Digital and Sus
 tainable Future Association (DİSÜDER) and with the support of the Istanbu
 l Development Agency (İSTKA).\nThis gathering\, enriched with comprehensiv
 e knowledge sharing on the impacts of green and digital transformation on i
 ndustry\, development\, and human capital\, brought together representative
 s from the public sector\, private sector\, academia\, and civil society or
 ganizations.\nDeputy Governor of Istanbul\, Cengiz Karabulut\, emphasized t
 he importance of leading digital and green transformation processes\;\nRect
 or Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk shared insights on the broad scope
  of sustainability and the necessity of acting with a collective mindset.\n
 İSTKA Secretary General Dr. Ziya Taşkent underlined that sustainable comp
 etitiveness can no longer be achieved solely through low-cost production\, 
 but through clean\, transparent\, and digital processes.\nSURKAM Director P
 rof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu detailed the Center’s objectives\, including
  green and digital transformation roadmaps for companies and individuals\, 
 as well as sustainability training programs.\nIn the panel session moderate
 d by SURKAM Director Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu\, with the participation
  of Yusuf Turhan\, Sustainability Manager at MEXT\, and Prof. Dr. Ece Ümm
 ü Deveci\, Faculty Member at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University\, sustaina
 bility and twin transformation processes were discussed from both academic 
 and sectoral perspectives.\nWe are moving forward with determination togeth
 er with our stakeholders on this transformation journey that shapes the fut
 ure.
