SUMMARY:The Fifth Session of the DİSÜDER–SURKAM Twin Transition and Sus
 tainability Training Series Was Held
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Sustainability and Twin Transition Center Projec
 t supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA)\, we completed the 
 fifth session of our training series organized in cooperation with the Digi
 tal and Sustainable Future Association (DİSÜDER) and Istanbul Medipol Uni
 versity Sustainable Development and Twin Transition Application and Researc
 h Center (SURKAM).\n🎙️ In the training titled “Circular Economy: Was
 te Management and Sustainable Product Approach\,” delivered with the part
 icipation of Dr. Burcu Koçak\, the efficient use of resources\, reduction 
 of waste generation\, and the contributions of circular economy practices t
 o institutions were discussed.\nDuring the training\, the importance of tra
 nsitioning from a linear production and consumption model to a circular eco
 nomy was evaluated\, while current approaches to bringing waste back into t
 he economy through reuse\, recycling\, and recovery processes were shared. 
 Sustainable product design\, resource efficiency\, and practices aimed at r
 educing institutions’ environmental impacts were also emphasized.\nWe wou
 ld like to thank Dr. Burcu Koçak for sharing her valuable knowledge and ex
 perience with our participants\, as well as everyone who attended the train
 ing.\nOur training series\, in which we have addressed different dimensions
  of twin transition and sustainability\, will continue with new sessions.
