 ansition: For Whom and How?”\, organized by the Marmara Municipalities Un
 ion (MMU) Center for Urban Policies and the Center for Sustainability and C
 limate Change.\nAt the panel\, which was prepared in line with the prioriti
 es of the COP31 Action Agenda\, the economic\, social\, and governance dime
 nsions of a just transition were discussed from different perspectives.\nTh
 e panel began with an opening speech by Güzin ÖZTÜRK\, Member and Stakeh
 older Relations Manager at UN Global Compact Türkiye\, who emphasized that
  the fight against global warming does not affect everyone equally and high
 lighted the need for a fair transition process.\nThe session then continued
  with Dr. Mühdan SAĞLAM\, Director of the Center for Energy and Climate C
 hange Studies at the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV)\
 ; Berfu ÇOPUR\, Researcher at the Sustainable Economics and Finance Resear
 ch Association (SEFİA)\; and Hülya ÇEŞMECİ CENGİZ\, Environmental Jus
 tice Program Specialist at the Center for Spatial Justice\, who addressed t
 he just transition steps that are critical to achieving climate goals from 
 the perspectives of local development\, employment opportunities\, technica
 l infrastructure\, and participation.\n
