As part of the Sustainability and Twin Transition Center Project supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), we completed the fifth session of our training series organized in cooperation with the Digital and Sustainable Future Association (DİSÜDER) and Istanbul Medipol University Sustainable Development and Twin Transition Application and Research Center (SURKAM).

🎙️ In the training titled “Circular Economy: Waste Management and Sustainable Product Approach,” delivered with the participation of Dr. Burcu Koçak, the efficient use of resources, reduction of waste generation, and the contributions of circular economy practices to institutions were discussed.

During the training, the importance of transitioning from a linear production and consumption model to a circular economy was evaluated, while current approaches to bringing waste back into the economy through reuse, recycling, and recovery processes were shared. Sustainable product design, resource efficiency, and practices aimed at reducing institutions’ environmental impacts were also emphasized.

We would like to thank Dr. Burcu Koçak for sharing her valuable knowledge and experience with our participants, as well as everyone who attended the training.

Our training series, in which we have addressed different dimensions of twin transition and sustainability, will continue with new sessions.
