Istanbul Medipol University

Known for its strong institutional culture, entrepreneurial spirit, and dynamic structure open to continuous development, Istanbul Medipol University has been shaping science and society since its establishment by the Türkiye Education, Health and Research Foundation (TESA), founded by Dr. Fahrettin Koca, on July 7, 2009.

The University began its educational activities in 2010 in the historic peninsula of Istanbul, on the shores of the Golden Horn, at the point where the Unkapanı Bridge meets the land. With its modern classrooms, laboratories, library, and extensive facilities, Istanbul Medipol University rapidly transformed into a central educational complex located in the heart of Istanbul.

Demonstrating remarkable growth in a short time, the University expanded its facilities with the establishment of Kavacık North and Kavacık South Campuses, which now include student dormitories, sports areas, and advanced research laboratories.

Through a collaboration agreement with Medipol Mega University Hospital—one of Türkiye’s largest private healthcare investments—the University provides students with a unique educational experience that integrates theory and practice in real clinical environments.

As of the 2024–2025 academic year, Istanbul Medipol University continues to be “the university that shapes a livable world,” offering education across 3 campuses, with 12 faculties, 1 school, 3 vocational schools, 5 graduate institutes, and more than 45,000 students.
