The 60-hour “Green Collar Training Program,” launched within the scope of the Sustainability and Twin Transition Center Project supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), has begun.
Within the scope of the project carried out to support the green and digital transformation in the plastics industry, the training program designed for white-collar employees aims to strengthen the knowledge, competencies, and human resources capacity that businesses will need in their transformation processes.
♻️ Within the scope of the project, transformation is addressed not only through technology, equipment, and process improvements but also through the acquisition of new knowledge and skills by the employees who manage these systems and play a role in decision-making processes. In this regard, the Green Collar Training Program constitutes one of the core work packages of the project.
Throughout the program, topics such as sustainability, green transition, the circular economy, resource and energy efficiency, carbon management, sustainability reporting, life cycle assessment (LCA), sustainable supply chains, and the impact of changing business practices on employees’ duties and responsibilities will be addressed.
🌍 Green transformation is no longer just the purview of environmental or sustainability units; it is becoming a strategic transformation and competitiveness issue that concerns all functions of businesses, from purchasing to production, finance to human resources, quality management to R&D.
