As Istanbul Medipol University Sustainable Development and Twin Transition Application and Research Center (SURKAM), we visited the Beykoz Municipality Directorate of Climate Change and Zero Waste.

SURKAM Director Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu and Deputy Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Elif Yurtoğlu Pek met with Engin Çelik, Director of the Beykoz Municipality Directorate of Climate Change and Zero Waste, and engineers working within the directorate.

🌍 During the meeting, potential joint activities that could be developed in the fields of climate change, zero waste, sustainable urbanization, environmental awareness, education, and social participation were evaluated.

🤝 With the aim of contributing to Beykoz’s sustainable future, ideas were exchanged on measurable projects that could create local impact in line with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
