Our Director, Prof. Dr. Rana ATABAY KUŞÇU, attended the 2024–2025 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center with the presence of President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN.

Representing Istanbul Medipol University at the ceremony were Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer CERAN, SURKAM Director Prof. Dr. Rana ATABAY KUŞÇU, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ARSLAN, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication Assoc. Prof. Dr. İhsan EKEN, and our students.

During the ceremony, the doctoral dissertation titled “Coordinated Multi-Point Systems for Future Wireless Communication Networks” by Dr. Muhammad Sohaib Jamal SOLAİJA, a graduate of the Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Cyber Systems PhD Program under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ARSLAN, received the 2024 Higher Education Council Outstanding Achievement Award in the Science and Engineering category. Prof. Dr. Arslan and Dr. Solaija were presented the award by President Erdoğan.
