The “Summit on the Role of Universities in Sustainable Development in the 100th Year of the Republic of Turkey,” organized by the Center for Application and Research on Sustainable Development on September 27, 2023, was held on the South Campus.

The event, which featured opening speeches by Prof. Dr. Öcal Oğuz, President of the UNESCO Turkish National Commission, Prof. Dr. Recep Öztürk, Vice Rector of our University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kesik, Rector of Istanbul Gedik University, also included presentations by Dr. Tamer Atabarut, faculty member at Boğaziçi University; Dr. Ebru Acuner Türet and Dr. Burak Barutçu, faculty members at Istanbul Technical University; Şadan Ertekin Mis, General Manager of MIKADO; Bahar Özay, United Nations SDSN Turkey Coordinator; Dr. Ayşegül Sezgin Huysal, faculty member at Istanbul Medipol University; and Aslı Dede, Founder of the Sustainable Living School.
