The Center was implemented under the leadership of the Istanbul Medipol University Sustainable Development and Twin Transformation Application and Research Center (SURKAM), in partnership with the Digital and Sustainable Future Association (DİSÜDER) and with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA).

This gathering, enriched with comprehensive knowledge sharing on the impacts of green and digital transformation on industry, development, and human capital, brought together representatives from the public sector, private sector, academia, and civil society organizations.

Deputy Governor of Istanbul, Cengiz Karabulut, emphasized the importance of leading digital and green transformation processes;

Rector Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk shared insights on the broad scope of sustainability and the necessity of acting with a collective mindset.

İSTKA Secretary General Dr. Ziya Taşkent underlined that sustainable competitiveness can no longer be achieved solely through low-cost production, but through clean, transparent, and digital processes.

SURKAM Director Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu detailed the Center’s objectives, including green and digital transformation roadmaps for companies and individuals, as well as sustainability training programs.

In the panel session moderated by SURKAM Director Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu, with the participation of Yusuf Turhan, Sustainability Manager at MEXT, and Prof. Dr. Ece Ümmü Deveci, Faculty Member at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, sustainability and twin transformation processes were discussed from both academic and sectoral perspectives.

We are moving forward with determination together with our stakeholders on this transformation journey that shapes the future.
