Our Director, Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu, from SURKAM, delivered her speech at the Workshop on Constructivist Approaches and Twin Transition in Higher Education, organized under the coordination of İMÖDEM!

In her speech, Kuşçu emphasized the critical role of green transformation and sustainability in higher education, highlighting global challenges such as climate change, depletion of natural resources, and loss of biodiversity. She underlined that universities must develop sustainable solutions in the areas of education, research, and social contribution.

She also touched upon the importance of equipping students with green skills, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting circular economy models in line with the goals of the European Green Deal. Kuşçu stated that integrating a sustainability mindset into the education system is a crucial step toward raising the leaders of the future.
