The launch of the “Green Transformation of Exports” by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) led to valuable information sharing. Our university was represented by Istanbul Medipol University Sustainable Development Application and Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu, at this event which also hosted TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and directors of various universities’ Sustainability Centers.

The formation and operation of the GreenTIM Platform will provide significant contributions and convenience to exporters. Before the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) comes into effect in 2026, exporters will be offered the opportunity to calculate and report their carbon footprint for free. GreenTIM will also serve as a platform where exporters can view their facilities, greenhouse gas emission results, comparison tables, and examine reports and documents related to the European Green Deal. The common goal of new cooperation opportunities and efforts is a sustainable future.
